The institution, SSS College of Education, Gurdaspur was established by S.Sukhjinder Singh Memorial Education Society, Gurdaspur with a well defined motive of serving the society by making their humble contribution to Education especially through Teacher Education. The institution, situated in Gurdaspur city at Hayat Nagar Gurdaspur offers B.Ed. course in teacher Education.
The building of the institution is a lively example of good architecture. The campus of the institution is beautified with lush green lawns, flower beds and pleasing plantation. It is spread over a land of 10 Kanals 9 Marlas with 1552.35 Sq. Meters of built up constructed area located in the overall campus. The institution has an excellent infrastructure including spacious classrooms, stacked library, multipurpose hall, modern well equipped laboratories, conference room , comfortable staff room ,common room for girls, indoor and outdoor games facility canteen, drinking water, Health Center, Uninterrupted Power Supply, internet, fax, photocopier, phone etc.

The course includes theory and extensive practical work. The syllabus is comprehensive and makes effective use of the training system evolved by experts in the field. The theory subjects related to different stages of human growth & development, concentrating on the early childhood years.
Practical work includes supervised teaching at the secondary school level, group projects, seminar presentation, field work, micro teaching unit’s observation of school & institution and a host of related activities.
